16 Jan. 2012

Well what a week i have had here!
Let´s start out with the news! Wow Erika is having a boy! Perfect! And his name is Noé! Even Sweeter! I just want to assure you all that he has already gained uncle Derek´s nickname.

What else? You guys at home sound great! It snowed though! That´s weird! It is super hot here. And today i saw a giant caterpillar! What? Yes it was gigantic like fatter than my thumb. But whatever.

So last week in Porto Seguro before the day ended and we caught our bus back to Teixeira, my companion and I decided to ride the mechanical bull. Haha pretty hilarious. It was pretty great i will not lie. Oh if it weren´t for pday we would all die! Haha

But this week wasn´t super cool, my companion was really sick all week so i ended up doing a lot of studying. Wow! I love the Doctrine and Covenants!

Other than that a few other funny things happened this week. We were walking home one night and we had stopped by the grocery store. Naturally i got a carton of chocolate milk. And again, being the man that i am, i decided to open it and drink some sweet sweet nectar of the chocolate cow on the way home. Well when we were almost home some guy rode up on his bike and started begging for money. The usual, i´m hungry and don´t have money. (But in reality i just want to buy a doobie). Haha well i was tired of the half-drunk milk carton so i gave it to him. Here, i said, take this. But don´t ask for anything else ever again! (We aren´t supposed to give stuff to people.) And he proceeded to ride away with the milk i gave him. Hahaha super funny. But then the next morning i didn´t have any choc milk.

Also this week we had a nice lesson with a 7th day adventist. And he had some really good questions. He was trying really hard to stump us. But in the end, after he rejected everything and said he didn´t even want to know if it was true. OR follow it if God answered his prayer, he asked one last classic question. ´Vocês guardam todos os mandamentos?´ You keep all the comandments? He was going to win! He wanted to bring up Saturday the day of the Sabbath. I said yes, we keep all of them. Portugues is really fun to speak because the conversation was like this directly translated.

You keep all the comandments? Vocês guardam todos os mandamentos?
We keep. Guardamos.
Oh, you keep all of them? Vocês quardam todos?
We keep. Guardamos.
Oh okay. Tá bom.

Haha it quieted him up. But seriously we keep all of them! Even the sabbath.

Other than that i studied a lot and listened to conference talks. But i need a few addresses. What is Austin Baker´s mission address and Jared Ferguson and Stuart Wheeler. And Mikayla my cousin. Is she at school or home? Ask her where i should send her a letter?

We have one last week in the transfer já! And we are losing a heck a lot of missionaries. Our mission is super young now! I have no idea what will happen because we had a lot of emergency transfers these last few days! Something happened, i don´t know. But i am sure i will stay here in Teixeira De Freitas! Which i freakin love it Here!!!!! haha it has almost all dirt roads and it´s Bahia and Brazil and oh boy. I am loving the mission!

We have zone conferences of the interior here this week so i will travel back to Itabuna for all thursday and then return. Woohoo.
