Well! Here i am in Porto Seguro emailing you all. We had to travel again this week but it was for a good cause. We watched the Dedication of the Manaus Brazil Temple! Wow! What a cool experience. President Ucthdorf was there with Elder Cook. It was an extremely spiritual experience and i absolutely loved it! It was really weird though, when there were people speaking in english they had a translator. So i got to listen to the talks by Elder Cook and President Ucthdorf 2 times! haha
So like i mentioned, saturday night the elders from Mucuri came up and slept in our house. Sunday at 6 in the morning we caught one of those wonderful busses to Porto Seguro, only 5 hours north! haha But it is sweet here, and i like it. We stayed here for today as well because monday is pday and we played soccer at the church with the Zone Porto Seguro!
The weather is hot, and i sweat so much. I think i totally inherited that from dad so i know how he feels all the time. haha so one day when i settle down with my family, i think i will choose a nice tranquil place that isn´t as hot as Brazil. But it is winter now. And sometimes in Teixeira it gets cold. It is like a little windy and rainy some days. Last week there was one day where we got soaked and i got cold and shivered until i warmed up. But that´s cause i am getting used to the Bahia! haha
So i don´t know how much i tell in my other letters but we have been in a 3 missionary companionship these days. This last week however, a newer Elder named Elder Monteiro arrived and is companions with that other Elder with whom i had problems. Elder Monteiro is the Brazilian version of Dan Goff. Super awesome, super happy, with some difficulty speaking. But one thing amazing is that he doesn´t have fear. He just does what he can. And apparently his speech is getting better! So cool.
Everything is going good. We have two more weeks in this transfer, it was a transfer of only 5 weeks. After this transfer President Vecchi is going home and President Andrezzo is arriving! Pretty cool! I am excited.
The work this last week has pretty slow, and Elder Rosa was sick for a day. I feel really bad when we can´t work directly. So i am really excited to freak out this next week and go crazy.
We work miracles here. And i never knew how much faith plays a part in miracles. I thought i had a lot of faith, but these last few weeks my faith is growing and growing and i realize i hardly had any faith at all!!! Faith is soooooo much different than i ever understood. I am so grateful for this amazing opportunity to grow and become a man of God.
Só falta um ano. Então agora é a hora de correr atrás. I only have 1 more year. And i will not waste this time.
