26 Mar. 2012

Good morning family, today is a good day. Just to keep you all updated on the news the doctor did a third test last Monday and found out that i did not Dengue... anymore. Haha so it does turn out that i did have dengue and it was pretty terrible. They say you have to have 5 symptoms and so i analysed myself. I did vomit, and have headache, pain behind the eyes and diarrhea and fever. Also my platelet count was at like 109 when i was the worst off. On Monday when i was better already the test said that my platelets returned to 225. Yes! So it was Dengue for real. And i am glad to be done with it. I didn´t complain too much, i hope!
But news on the week! It sounds like you are all doing great! And am glad for that. Thank you for all the prayers and everything. Haha because they didn´t find out it was Dengue until after i got better! Haha i had a lot of blessings.

Elder Ramos is our district leader here and so this weekend was fun. Friday we did a division to work in our areas here in Teixeira. Which means that i studied and worked with the Elder Moreira, the African! haha he´s nuts. But we had a really good and effective day. Then Saturday Elder Moreira and Ramos went to Mucuri again. That city that we help out 2 and a half hours south. What an adventure. So i worked with Elder Jorgensen here in Teixeira. Haha it was a good weekend and i worked really hard. It is always a little strange working with Elder Jorgensen. I won´t go into detail, but he has more time on the mission than me, and i still feel like the senior companion.  Well that´s okay right?

Elder Ramos still is the man. He is my current companion. He sure is a noise maker, Ha i thought i made a lot of noise. But the man never stops. It has been a good opportunity to learn more patience, but seriously; if i could ever love a man... i love Elder Ramos. haha he´s great.

Cool news, President might send missionaries to reopen Mucuri as an area. I really hope that he does. It is near impossible to really help the people there without working there directly. I hope that Ramos gets transferred down there next transfer, cause he could work some miracles there.

Other than this, there isn´t much. My last name Kent is pronounced Kenchee still. And Kenchee in portugues is Quente, which means hot. Naturally this means that i found a hot sauce here called extra kent! haha What a wonderful hot sauce. But it was weak sauce.

The church is true. Joseph Smith really was the prophet who restored the church of Christ here on the earth. Through him, God gave us many precious truths and scriptures. I´m so stoked for general conference! I have to watch in Portuguese this time, but i will finally at least understand!
