First off i will let you know that i love you guys, and goodness it´ll be fun to get to know my nephew of love. (NOL).
So we worked hard this week and had the baptism of Fausto Rodrigues Salomão, yeah! A man! Usually men are much more retarded than other people and so it is really hard to find prepared men and baptize them in this true church. But Fausto was prepared so much by the Lord, let me tell you! Little things that prepared him for the restored gospel: When we had planned to teach him the word of wisdom, it just didn´t feel right. The first time we were planning on teaching the WOW i decided in the last minute to teach chastity instead. Then another time we focused on some other aspect of the gospel. I think it was the third time when we finally taught him the word of wisdom. And on the walk over to his house i thought to myself, ´i bet he just doesn´t have a problem at all. And that is why we haven´t really been able to teach him this yet.´ Well it was like the Lord was saying, ´No, teaching him this because it is more important for now´. Well when we finally taught him the wisdom word he didn´t have any problems. Like he had given up drinking cervejinha (little beer haha!) and didn´t smoke or anything! So it was amazing to see how well the Lord prepared him.
He is also a singer of romance music! haha he has a CD and i have a copy now! But it is already in my suitcase, and i will bring it home with me to listen to! haha We baptized a sweet singer of awesomeness.
What else is going on? President Cruz, the one that i used his computer to skype, he gave us a reference a few weeks ago and they are all pregressing a ton towards baptism. I think it is his uncle´s daughter and her daughters. So that makes them cousins right? haha but the work is going great. Haha and Fausto is the man!
Today is the day of transfers. Or as i like to call them, Transferências! We still haven't gotten the call from the Zone Leaders so we´ll see what happens. Just to let you all know. I could stay or i could go. There are reasons for both things happening. I have no problem with staying, but at the same time i wouldn´t mind being transfered. I have 4 transfers in Teixeira De Freitas. And i have out lived 5 missionaries here. So i´m getting ready to get to know a new place. But if i were to stay. there is no problem, i love teixeira!
Everything is going great. This week was very humbling to me, i had some problems and needed to work things out with a few members in the ward that i offended. It is difficult to live in a different country because i am not very good at using this language. I have to guard what i say because it is super easy to be offensive and then have no idea i did anything wrong. But all is way good again :)
I´m loving it here. Working hard. I know this church is true, and we have authority from God to be representatives of Christ! THis church is His church!
