Well things are great here in the land of rice and beans! This last week had some cool adventures in it as well. So i will start off with the basics.
So we passed the fourth of July this week. i totally forgot about it, until it was actually the 4th. Needless to say that no one celebrated here! Haha there is however a holiday here in Brazil called São João, and it is like a mixture of a harvest festival, pioneers/farmers, and fireworks. Dad was talking about how people have been lighting off bombs for the past few days. Haha the bombs here have been going off for a loooooonnnggg time. like a month. So i know how you feel.
So here in the Bahia, things are pretty funny. You have to know i flippin love this state. I am serving in the place where the rest of Brazil makes fun of! And it is because Bahia is crazy and legit. This week we saw a horse in the street and a man was trying to give it a bath but it was jumping out of the way. haha really funny.
Another funny thing is that when Elder Vieira and I were planning on the side of the road, i left our cell phone there on the street on accident. We worked for a while and taught some lessons, and when i realized i couldn´t find our phone. So we returned to the spot where we had talked/planned and grabbed our phone! ha
Other crazy stories of the week include how i had to escort 2 drunk men out of the church on Sunday. One was a less active, and boy oh boy it´s good to be in the church but they were not in conditions to stay! ha so that was interesting. Did i mention that for the 2nd time in 7 months i have church in a chapel! Haha it is sooooooo awesome!
Other cool things that happened this week. We travelled from Poções to Jequié to have a meeting with our whole zone. That was cool. So i got to see another city here. jequié is a very big city and the church is pretty weak there. But it is a cool city and will be blessed. One of my Zone leaders is Elder Costa. Do you remember him? He was my second companion in Itabuna. Now he is my zone leader! Pretty cool.
Next week we will meet my new mission president, Presidente Andrezzo! This Friday in a Zone Conference. We will have the conference in the city Vitória Da Conquista. Legal!
So we are working hard and having some success. We have some investigators progressing to be baptized on the 21st of July. I am praying for miracles. One of our investigators is searching hard for an answer from God. She has difficulty because she is a little bit hard set on catholic traditions. But we are all fasting together and everything will work out. As long as we do our part in faith.
