Wellllllllllllllllll! That is the end of another week! And it was good. I am really happy because i had a great day at church yesterday and i am just feeling great. It wasn´t even that our day at church good because of a lot of investigators or anything like that. But i had a few personal revelation moment-tinhos and feel great Ha!
So i travelled a heck a lot this week. Monday night i caught a bus around midnight going to Salvador! Haha yesss! One more all night bus ride! In Salvador we had a meeting with all the leaders on the mission and a couple of odd balls like me that President Andrezzo Invited. He had requested my presence! haha it sounds a lot cooler than it was, it wasn´t like, ´´Send for Elder Kent!´´ But i got to do a practice district meeting/training in front of everyone. I also got to see all my senior companions. Allll of my senior companions are either Zone Leaders or Elder Ricker is the assistant to the president. So that was cool.
So do you remember that when i was in Itabuna that i baptized that man named Jaime? When i was companions with Elder Costa we found him and i baptized him. Well Elder Ramos is one of the LZ´s (zone leader) in Itabuna and he said that Jaime is helping out a lot in the missionary work. Because of Jaime the church has opened in a new city. Jaime was living in Itabuna when i found him but his parents live in Buerarema. And now because of him there have been a ton of baptisms in Buerarema and the church opened a group there. Ramos said that the attendance there is about 25 each Sunday, which is super good! It is amazing how the lord works. Because of one man, the gospel has opened in an entire new city that didn´t have it.
So Tuesday night i got to laugh a ton with Elder Ricker but then that night i caught the bus heading back to Poções! It was a good meeting. Other than that i got to travel to Jequié this week as well because of another meeting, this time only with my zone. And finally were here in Poções.
This has been the hardest time on my mission. For once i am not having any obvious difficulties or problems. We just are not having success. Our baptism of this girl named Kevilyn fell through and she is having a lot of opposition. She still wants to be baptizd and loves the church but her step dad hates us, he is catholic. So we can´t teach the family anymore and are using the young women to help Kevilyn. So it´s going slow but going.
Other than that i learned this week that i have to focus on the positive things. To be more happy in trials.
