So the week was crazy. We have lots of meetings in Itabuna
because of the group here in Buerarema and because of the missionaries. So it
is cool because i get to see the city that i started my mission in.
We are doing lots of divisions here so that we can work a ton. I have been leaving with Jaime the guy that i baptized a year ago. Now that he has the Melchizedek Priesthood. Haha there is not anything cooler than that. He has a really cool story. We had picked him up when he was involved in drugs and crime. He hadn´t talked to his dad in like 10 years. But then the gospel changed his life and now he´s leaving with us. haha he is so bold as well, he just invites every one of his friends. This week he took me and elder Malloy to a Brazilian high school and we did little presentations in the classes. Haha something that would totally be illegal in the States!!! haha but it was a really cool experience and we got to invite a bunch of people to church.
Then to finish the week off we baptized a woman named Meire.
Haha so we don´t have a baptismal font, obviously, in the church here. So Saturday
we got some of the people together and walked on down to the river. Ha!
Actually it is more of a pond but is big enough. So i got to baptize her in the
pond. What a crazy adventure! Haha my mission sometimes has gotten so
frontier-zy. I will always remember the first time i baptized in the lake.
So Sunday was good. In the morning we bussed out to Itabuna
to frequent our actual ward. But in the afternoon we returned to Buerarema to
have our meeting and the confirmations. Meire was confirmed with her son who
had been baptized before. He hadn´t gotten confirmed yet because he is super
super timid and got scared. But everything gave right in the end.
Tomorrow is a new year! Yeah! And tomorrow night we are travelling to Salvador for a Zone Leader Council Wednesday with President Andrezzo, all the zone leaders and the Assistants. It should be cool-zão. Haha
