Well things are going pretty good
here! We had a great week. I swear i am constantly running around like a
chicken with my head cut off. This week was good however because we are finally
living in a house in Buerarema! Yes! We had been living in that garage, and we
tried to rent a different house that was a complete mess and finally we are
living in a normal house. It is pretty sweet. I have never been so grateful for
the luxeries in life! Like your own house! haha
So to tell a funny story, part of
the reason it took so long to move into a real house is because we tried to
rent another house that was a disaster. So it was up on a hill, and i think we
were so darn excited to leave the garage and live in a real house that we were
willing to accept whatever it was as long as it had 4 walls. Well we moved all
our stuff up to this cement house up on the hill and ended up living there for
only like 1 day. It had a bunch of problems that no one would have been able to
see without staying there and we just had to leave our other residence as fast
as possible because of the mosquitos and everything. The shower head fell out
of the wall when Malloy was showering, some of the plugs didn´t work in the
house and we had a crazy man who lived on the roof... haha Anyways the funny
story was the the old man who lived on our roof just decided to walk into our
house while we were mopping it and he did it for us. He just kind of entered
without permission and then bossed us around. haha! He just threw a bunch of
water around the house and moved a lot of dirt around and then he said, ´me da
um dinheiro aĆ?´ haha He just walked in, did a bad job cleaning and then asked
for money to go buy alcohol. He reaked of alcohol. Anyways, we didn´t give him
any money and he was crazy still. I told this whole story because the other day
we saw him on the street, drunk and with a machete. Haha he swung it around a
little trying to show us his moves or something, pretty funny. Oh the drunk
people in my life.
Other than that, on sunday an ex
investigator named ihago came to church again. His baptismal date had fallen
because none of his friends wanted to get baptized and they pressured him. We
found him playing football remember? Well sunday he said to us that he wants to
be like Nephi, and be courageous and be baptized. ANd that he doesn´t care what
anyone else thinks. So he has date marked for this saturday! Woohoo!
Things are going good here. I can´t
believe that Elder Malloy is going home to washington in a month. And then i
leave 2 transfers after that. I hate to admit it, but i´m finally getting old
on the mission. It sucks. Haha I am trying my best to not even think about it.
But i am starting to get a little anxious and nervous. It isn´t that i am
nervous or that i think about home, but just in the back of my head i know it
is getting close and i know it´ll be hard. Oh well.
We are going to have a zone
conference on the 19th and President Andrezzo asked me to conduct the meeting.
Hahaha that´s so weird. I used to look at the missionaries conducting and think
they were the man! haha that´ll be interesting.
Anyways i love you guys so much!
